Oct 16th - Oct 23rd - Porto

Portugal's second largest city lies roughly 3 hours north of Lisbon. Built in granite and unscathed by the earthquake that devastated Lisbon in 1755, Porto retains many older buildings and medieval architecture.  A very walkable city with, yet again, many great restaurants. We were delighted that Andy and Simon joined us (but less delighted that they brought some English weather with them!)

Julie was in her element after she learnt JK Rowling lived here when drafting the first pages of her famous series.  Apparently some elements of Porto inspired the author....
